Albert Place apartments in West Didsbury selling fast
A new £3.5m development of luxury apartments in South Manchester is proving popular with buyers with almost two thirds of the development already sold.
Albert Place, situated at Didsbury Point, has sold 26 of its 36 properties despite work only starting on site over the summer.
The government’s Help to Buy scheme is now also available on a selection of the one and two bedroom apartments which are being marketed by JP & Brimelow.
The scheme is being developed by Lymm-based Mulbury Homes under the firm’s Mulbury Living brand and is being built by Manchester-based Harbur Construction.
Greg Mulligan, a director of Mulbury Homes, said: “It’s fantastic to see such huge interest in our Albert Place development, both from first time buyers and existing home owners looking to move.
“Demand for homes growing steadily, and the popularity of Albert Place is further evidence that buyers are looking for high-quality city living. We have received a lot of interest in the remaining properties and have now secured funding through the government’s Help to Buy scheme to offer selected homes at a five per cent deposit.”
Christian Bury, managing director of Harbur Construction, said: “Albert Place is in the heart of West Didsbury providing great transport links for professionals and commuters into Manchester. The demand for these apartments is proof that the right properties in the right location will attract interest.”
Construction work is due to be completed in spring 2014.
