NDC London Boosts Software Developer Scene

The new Developers Conference(); London has offered visitors access to leading international experts on .NET and Agile as well as industry networking opportunities. Event highlights included the launch of Microsoft Visual Studio tools for developers. Key Microsoft speakers included Scott Guthrie, Corporate Vice President of Microsoft’s .NET Developer Platform, and founding member of the .NET project and Jon Skeet, Java developer for Google. NDC London attracted participants from all over Europe with its unique festive atmosphere and strong sense of community.The event enabled Programmers, Software Architects, Project Managers and IT Executives to network with a range of partners from leading IT companies.

Expanding on the success of the Norwegian Developers Conference held in Oslo for the last six years, Jakob Bradford, Director NDC London, says of the launch: “This is the first time NDC has been held outside of Oslo, and the atmosphere has been electric! It’s really boosted the UK developer scene like a ‘vitamin injection’.”

The conference offered the perfect ‘feel good’ boost to the ever-evolving UK developer community. In attendance were .NET Rocks! the internet audio talk-show for .NET web developers. Code Club, the nationwide network of after school coding clubs for children was also exhibiting, encouraging volunteering within the developer community.
