Wetherby husband and wife team acquire new nursey
Wetherby-based husband and wife team, Nigel and Jane Hussey, have acquired Little Learners nursey.
The purpose built nursery, located within the grounds of Deighton Gates School, has a baby play room, together with two further rooms catering for ages 2 to 5 years old.
The couple also run Brook Babes Nursery in Bramham and Whitwood House located at Boston Spa, and secured Little Learners with funding from Barclays.
Jane Hussey, co-owner of Little Learners said: “We wanted to grow the business and build on our existing reputation whilst maintaining our homely, personal touch.
“Little Learners was a natural choice for us – a great location, an existing experienced team and an ‘Outstanding’ achievement from Ofsted at their last inspection.”
Little Learners is open for children from babies up to the age of five and they also run after school facilities. The business employs 10 people and the couple employ over 45 practitioners across the three sites.
Andrew Parmenter, senior business banking manager at Barclays said: “Nigel and Jane are a great example of a well-run business that is thriving in the current climate and it’s great that we’ve been able to support them with their growth plans. The future looks bright for the business and I look forward to seeing them continue with their growth plans into 2014 and beyond.”
