Sunderland Software City host national technology experts
Software industry support organisation Sunderland Software City has hosted some of the sector’s key leaders at an event aimed to provide knowledge and expertise to regional entrepreneurs.
The recent ‘Gateway to Opportunity’ event, hosted in partnership with IBM, brought the likes of Iain Grey, CEO of the Technology Strategy Board; UCL professor Tim Broyd; and serial entrepreneur Chris Mairs, to the region.
David Dunn, chief executive of Sunderland Software City who facilitated the event said: “We’ve had fantastic feedback from delegates at the event and are proud to have hosted a line-up of esteemed and respected speakers.
“Events such as Gateway to Opportunity reinforce the region’s reputation as an intrinsic technology hub and provided local software companies with a unique insight into opportunities to drive the innovations that will revolutionise the way we live and work in the future.
“We look forward to working with IBM to deliver a calendar of events next year which will continue to inspire, grow and deliver opportunities to technology and software businesses across the region.”
For those who were unable to attend, videos of the keynote speeches from the event will be available via MAKE it Sunderland, this week.
The next Sunderland Software City event will take place on February 11 and will focus on how firms can collaborate with IBM; and how to access IBM business support.
