Young communications outfit gears up for expansion
A North East creative agency run by two young entrepreneurs has expanded its premises at it looks to turn over a five-figure sum next year.
RGB Media, run by graduates Iraa Kadchha and Adam Wimpenny, have moved to Sunderland Software Centre to accommodate for growth.
The firm, who have featured prominently in Bdaily over the last few years, say they have attracted clients as far afield as the US and Canada.
The pair set up RGB in 2011, offering PR, web design and branding services.
Iraa, a Sunderland University graduate, said: “After university, I was working on numerous campaigns for clients that needed design and print work which meant there was a requirement to outsource. It was in that moment I realised it would be more effective for a client to deal with one person and have everything taken care of.
“I approached the University of Sunderland’s Software Hatchery, which provides office space, facilities and mentoring to enterprising graduates and entrepreneurs with my business idea and was encouraged to set up my own agency.
“We’re now in our third year of business and we’re going from strength to strength with a number of new client wins and ambitious plans for the future.”
Councillor Paul Watson, leader of Sunderland City Council said: “I’m delighted to see RGB Media has chosen Sunderland Software Centre as a base in which to grow its business.
“The company has made an impact in the region and has come a long way in a short space of time. Their achievement at a young age should be celebrated and I wish them a successful future in the creative industry.”
