Santa Claus is coming to Cramlington town

Families are invited to visit Santa’s Grotto this Christmas as he stops by Cramlington’s largest retail and leisure destination to spread some festive fundraising fun.

To celebrate this Christmas, Manor Walks and Digital Community Youth has teamed up to present Santa’s Grotto at The Venue.

Santa will be joined by his little elves at his Grotto created in support with Manor Walks’ retailers, including Yorkshire Trading Company, Asda, Wilkinson and O2, as well as Cramlington Learning Village and Cramlington Town Council, in aid of The Bubble Foundation.

Bruno Coppola, general manager at Manor Walks, said: “This is a great opportunity for families to visit the centre and experience their own winter wonderland at The Venue.

“Manor Walks is such a warm and friendly place to visit so we wanted to create an event that represented this and was accessible to all ages.

“We’re very grateful for Digital Community Youth, Cramlington Town Council, and our retailers for taking part in something the whole community can enjoy this Christmas.”

The Grotto is open on Saturday 21 December 11am to 4pm and Sunday 22 December 11am to 3pm. Tickets are available at the Grotto and cost £1 per child, a donation from every ticket will be made to The Bubble Foundation.

Digital Community Youth project manager, Mick Harland added: “Children will receive a festive goody bag from Santa and adults can take advantage of the best in homemade designer, crafters and hobbyists who are present each weekend.

“Cramlington Learning Village has done a great job at decorating Santa’s Grotto and the winter window displays from the Knit & Knatter Group and Yorkshire Trading Company really set’s the scene.”

The Bubble Foundation raises funds for medical equipment, toys and educational aids, welfare of the babies, children and their families, and important research required at this cutting edge of paediatric practice.

With over 100 retailers including Northumberland’s only multiplex cinema and a great range of family restaurants as well as high street favourites and independent stores, Manor Walks Shopping & Leisure in Cramlington offers a huge amount of choice to suit a range of tastes.
