Sales Nugget - Goals
Happy New Year and may the best of your past be the worst of your future!
And so another new year is upon us and we are excited as well as a bit nervous of what the next twelve months will bring. Will it be a brilliant year or will it be a poor one? The thing is that in life you don’t have to do anything, everything in life is a choice – absolutely everything. It is all down to you and the choices you make however it is easier if there is someone alongside you who can help you along the way.
So in the next twelve months I intend to give you some ‘sales nuggets’ and ‘sales tips’ to help improve your performance, profits and sales.
The ‘sales nuggets’ will be valuable, small “bite-sized” portions of information. They will be brief and to the point, just two or three sentences long and easy to remember.
The ‘sales tips’ will give you ideas, actions, phrases, techniques and approaches to will help you improve your sales skills and increase your chances of winning more sales.
So the first ‘sales nugget’ is about ‘Goals’
We get back to work after the holiday and immediately get straight into the day to day grind of looking for new business and we forget to look at the why and what we are trying to achieve.
This time of the year is a good time to stop and think about what your goals are for the next twelve months. Set proper goals for yourself and stick to them. Make them realistic both from a timescale and financial point of view then regularly review them weekly, monthly and quarterly.
Make slight adjustments if you need to but never forget that although setting goals is a must they won’t be achieved if you don’t take action. It is the actions that will help you achieve your goals.
