Harrogate financial advisors to hold pensions auto-enrolment seminar
Harrogate financial advisors, Ellis Bates Financial Solutions, are holding a free seminar on January 21 to help local businesses prepare for the Government’s pensions auto-enrolment scheme.
The seminar will offer practical advice, information and guidance on the auto-enrolment process, including staging dates, scheme implementation and meeting legislation.
Advisors from Ellis Bates will also discuss employer obligations and will be available after the seminar to look at individual cases.
Director at Ellis Bates Financial Solutions, Grant Ellis, said: “Companies are now legally required to have a pension scheme in place for its employees and employers need to be prepared for the changes the new law will bring.
“It is critical employers understand the key steps necessary for implementing a workplace pension scheme as the processes can be timely and costly.
“As a local business ourselves, we want to offer our advice to those who are concerned about forthcoming deadlines and their employer duties.”
Auto-enrolment was introduced by the Government in 2012 and will apply to all businesses by 2017.
The new legislation aims to get more people saving for their future and means employers will need to automatically enrol employees onto a pension scheme, make contributions on their behalf and maintain records. Those who don’t comply will face strict penalties.
The seminar will be held at the Ellis Bates Financial Solutions offices, Adam House, Ripon Way. Refreshments and breakfast will be available from 7:30am for an 8am start.
The event will close at 9:30am. To book your place, email Biddie.Pokorny@ellisbatesgroup.com.
