Empty property management system in line for awards double

A cloud-based software solution for managing void properties, developed by Vivark and software specialist Oneserve, has received two award nominations for its pioneering innovation - just two months after scooping a highly prestigious industry award.

Following a win at the Chartered Association of Building Engineers’ British Building Maintenance Awards in November (2013), the Oneserve2Oneserve (O2O) software has once again impressed judges, picking up nominations from both the national 2014 Housing Innovation Awards and the prestigious Technology in FM Awards for ‘Most Innovative IT System’ and ‘Operations’, respectively.

Designed to significantly improve workforce operations, Oneserve O2O’s cloud-based software allows greater communication between Vivark’s mobile workforce, supply chain and office-based teams, providing a streamlined process and enhanced productivity.

Since its introduction, the innovative field service management software has enabled Knowsley-based facilities management company, Vivark, to turn around vacant properties more efficiently, achieving predicted savings of £225,000 in its first year of use alone.

The cost savings have allowed Vivark to reinvest funds back into the community, helping to create a number of training and volunteering opportunities as part of the company’s commitment to social value.

Mick Costigan, Head of Operational Support at Vivark, said: “Receiving further industry recognition for our partnership with Oneserve is great justification in the success of the project so far. It’s great to see the benefits come to fruition internally, but it’s equally as rewarding to receive acknowledgement from industry peers.

“Award ceremonies present a great opportunity to reflect on the innovation within our sector at the moment, which we believe is at an all-time high. A commitment to driving innovation forward is something Vivark and Oneserve will look to build on as we aim to grow and enhance our service offering over the next 12 months.”

The Housing Innovation Awards will take place on 6th February in London, with the Technology in FM Awards being hosted later that month at the annual Workplace Futures conference in London.
