Deals bring businesses to Riverside Park
Tees Valley chartered surveyors Sanderson Weatherall have completed two deals for businesses to find new homes in Middlesbrough’s Riverside Park.
The deals, completed on behalf of client Gullwing Fund 2, which owns the buildings on Mickleton Road, will see Steve Brettle Fabrications and Restore PLC become the latest occupiers to move onto the Mickleton Road estate.
Steve Brettle Fabrications (SBF) is a long-established Middlesbrough firm, which had previously been based in Bowes Road. The company has bought the 11,116 sq ft 9 Mickleton Road unit, doubling the size of its floor space to allow for future growth. SBF specialise in pipe supports, tank repairs, access platforms, safety gates, stairways and ladders.
Restore PLC, a London-based office support services firm with sites across the UK, have signed a straight ten year lease on 8a Mickleton Road, a 12,086 sq ft unit. The site is Restore’s second in the Tees Valley, building upon its existing base in Stockton.
Jonathan Simpson, Partner at Sanderson Weatherall, said: “These two latest transactions further cement Riverside Park as one of Teesside’s prime industrial locations. Furthermore, these two deals highlight how the industrial market has significantly picked up over the course of the last six months, with our attention now turning to unit 4b, a 6,000 sq ft unit.”
Ross Dixon, of Charles Dixon Asset Management, acting for Gullwing Fund 2, commented: “We are delighted with these two recent deals, signifying the significant growth of both companies. The recent activity underlines the strength of Riverside Park as one of Teesside’s prime Industrial locations.” Joint agent on the scheme is Storeys ES.
