Newcastle stage crew providers secure three year contract with Metro Radio Arena
Metro Radio Arena have selected Newcastle and Stocksfield-based Eventcover as their continued supplier of backstage staff for events until 2017.
The firm has a long standing relationship with the Arena, having provided crew staff since its opening in 1995.
A new contract secures Eventcover’s supplying for another three years, and will see staff working on shows from the likes of Robbie Williams and Lee Evans.
Eventcover specialise in stage crew for musical concerts and supply venues across the country, working with local councils and football clubs too.
The firm have over 500 staff on their books to fulfill contracts, which have previously included Live 8, Bon Jovi at Gateshead Stadium and Michael Jackson shows.
Managing director Bob Taylor said: “We at Eventcover are proud to continue our long association with Metro Radio Arena. The programme of events in 2014, with great talents, bodes well for the future”
Paul Tappenden, general manager for the Metro Radio Arena said: “Eventcover have worked with the venue since opening and it reflects their professionalism that we can secure the relationship for a further three year contract”
The Arena stages around 60 live events each year.
