Manchester betting firm launches app

North West betting giant Betfred has launched an exclusive free lottery app for Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8. It is the first time a gambling app has been available in the Windows and Windows Phone stores.

Players can bet on up to 12 international lotteries as they are drawn live daily. They can bet on more than one lottery at a time and any combination of numbers. Gamers can either bet using their saved favourites or choose the ‘lucky dip’ to randomly generate numbers. There is also the facility to view results and share the app across social network channels.

The app has been carefully crafted specifically for Microsoft consumers by Manchester-based digital design and build agency Degree 53. Lotto experts at Betfred.com worked in partnership with the digital design firm to develop an app that is easy to use on the go, with a comprehensive results section, in just 8-weeks.

Chris Sheffield, Managing Director of Betfred.com said: “It is a monumental time for Betfred.com and a real coup to team up with one of the world’s most recognised technology brands.

We expect to see a big growth in Windows 8 use as more consumers upgrade their PCs and mobile devices and wanted our customers to be able to access and play our popular lotto games on a choice of platforms.“

Managing Director of Degree 53, Andy Daniels, added:“Nowadays customers expect their online experiences to be tailored to their devices. We worked in conjunction with Betfred.com to create a compelling lotto app that hopefully exceeds expectations.”

The Betfred lotto app is available to download now for free on Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8. First time users will receive a £5 match bet.
