Manchester production firm launch specialist sports arm with Ferdinand endorsement
A Manchester-based production company has launched a new arm targeted at sports clubs, with endorsement from Rio Ferdinand.
The Mob Film Company will launch ‘Mob Sport’ - building on the business’ previous work with European football clubs such as Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich, as well as the Rugby League World Cup and William Hill.
England star Rio Ferdinand praised the brand for their recent work on the promotion of his #5 Apparel clothing range.
Heading up the new division is former Manchester United relationship director, Nick Humphreys, who will work closely with Mob’s founder and global executive producer John Brocklehurst, working with a team of nine permanent staff.
The firm will operate offices in London, Manchester and Los Angeles.
Nick Humphreys said: “Mob Films has been involved in sports production for several years but coming on board to lead Mob Sport is about helping the company’s growth with the creation of this new division which will provide a focus to its aim of becoming the industry leader in sport content creation and production.
“We work with some of the most creative directors in the business and have excellent relationships with rights holders, who know their athletes are working with the most professional team in the business.
“Sports fans are engaging digitally content like never before. Creating unique and exciting content is going to be the key to any good sponsorship programme.
“The opportunities for Mob Sport are second to none because of the company’s existing reputation for producing bespoke, original content for sponsors and rights holders.”
Mob founder John Brocklehurst, 40, added: “Mob Sport’s exciting launch is about growing whilst retaining our commitment to quality.
“We treat every job with the same approach no matter what the budget, and no work leaves the office without being signed off by both Nick and I.
“It’s our hands-on approach that has led to our success so far.”
