Express Solicitors adds to RTA team following 15% increase in caseloads
Manchester-based personal injury law firm, Express Solicitors, has added two new solicitors to its growing Road Traffic Accident (RTA) team following a 15% increase in caseloads.
The appointments of Anna Heeley and Daniel Jamieson to the RTA department, reporting to department heads, partners Rachel Flannigan and Robin Patey, take the RTA team to 12, including nine fee earners.
The firm saw overall caseloads grow by 34% over the last 12 months following a year of significant organic growth.
In September, it reported a 35% increase in fee income over the financial year with end of year figures at £5.3 million for 2012 and £7.2 million for the year end in 2013.
Anna brings seven years’ experience of complex personal injury cases to the firm having specialised in matters such as liability disputes, accidents involving a number of injuries and accidents resulting in serious injuries.
With five years’ experience working as a solicitor in Manchester, Daniel specialises in personal injury and RTA litigation. He has a particular interest in liability disputed matters requiring a trial to determine fault and also specialises in quantum only disputes determined at Disposal and Assessment of Damages hearings.
Commenting on her reasons for joining Express Solicitors, Anna said: “The firm has many accreditations, including APIL and Lexcel, and this was a huge pull for me, as they say a lot about the high service levels offered to clients and also the firm’s training and development programmes, which will help me grow as a solicitor and advance my career.”
Daniel said: “I’m delighted to join such a forward thinking firm that has not stood still but has proactively changed and evolved in response to the huge and unprecedented changes to the legal landscape over the last few years.”
Joint head of the RTA department, Rachel Flannigan said: “Over the last 12 months our RTA case loads grew by 15% due to the firm’s increased investment in marketing, which went from £20,000 to £40,000 per month over 2013, so we’re delighted to have more support from two skilled and experienced solicitors like Anna and Daniel.
“We have high expectations for 2014 though and will be looking to make more additions to the team in the future as we further expand our caseloads.”
Express Solicitors currently comprises 148 employees including 13 partners and 47 earners. The firm specialises in personal injury and accident claims, medical and clinical negligence claims and serious injury cases.
