RandomStorm forecasts bright future with London expansion
A Yorkshire IT security firm has opened a new London office just two months after being listed in the Deloitte UK Fast 50.
The office in Bishopsgate, East London, will provide an additional base for RandomStorm’s growing team of network security engineers and penetration testers.
Around 10% of total staff will be based in the London office, and there are plans to rapidly increase this over the coming year, as RandomStorm already has a number of clients based in the capital.
RandomStorm has also increased headcount in its Wetherby office in the last two months, recruiting two security engineers, a new marketing manager and additional member of the development team.
The company was founded in 2007, in Wetherby, to provide information security products and world-class consultancy services to enterprises and SMEs. It has steadily grown its customer base of online and high street retailers; financial institutions; local councils; transport companies and premier league football clubs and is now listed as one of the top three fastest-growing companies in the North of England.
Using the Deloitte formula, which identifies the fastest-growing technology companies in the UK and EMEA, the company calculated that its revenue grew by 1062% between 2009 and 2013: positioning RandomStorm as the twenty first fastest-growing company in the UK technology sector and fifth in the UK Internet sector.
Robin Hill, co-founder of RandomStorm, said: “When we founded RandomStorm, we focused on building a team of information security specialists who could deliver a world-class consultancy service on our clients’ doorsteps. Our business and product range have grown considerably and we now have a number of clients operating in the city and overseas. It is time to take our business to the next level and make our presence felt in London as well as the North.”
Established in 2007, RandomStorm provides vulnerability scanning; network security monitoring products and consultancy services, to help public and private sector companies to improve their security posture and comply with industry guidelines and data protection regulations.
The company is a CESG CHECK security consultancy and certified as both an Approved Scanning Vendor and Qualified Security Assessor by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council.
