Sales Nugget – Fear

Simon Cowell’s name came up during a self-employment course last week which I thought would make a good sales nugget – Fear!

We were discussing what makes a successful salesperson and business person. The consensus was that many successful people have just like Simon Cowell been down and out in their business life. They don’t let the memory of fear of failure stop them or get in their way.

The thing is no matter how long ago it was it is human nature to let the memory of fear dominate our thoughts. The secret to success is how we deal with the fear of failure.

For some people it kills them dead and stops any progress. The successful people like Simon Cowell let that memory of failure push them to do that bit extra so they never return to those down and out times again.

You have the choice, let the memory stop you or use it to your advantage as much as possible and don’t let the fear get in your way.
