Management consultancy launches leisure and visitor advisory service
One of the North West’s leading management consultancies is expanding with the launch of a specialist visitor economy and leisure advisory service.
AMION Consulting, which is based in Liverpool, has recruited two of the UK’s leading specialists in the field to lead the company’s new service.
Chris Melia and Greg Hunt have joined AMION from Colliers International Destination Consulting (formerly Locum) as Partner Director and Associate Director respectively.
Their expertise in the visitor attraction, culture, leisure economy and destination management sectors will add to the firm’s current specialisms which include economics, development business planning and social policy.
AMION, which has been operating for more than 10 years, is an economic, financial and management consultancy business providing independent strategic advice to clients across the UK. The company is supported by a team of economists, chartered accountants and other professionals.
Ms Melia has spent over six years at Director level in consultancy, working with clients and projects including the V&A Dundee, the National Maritime Museum, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, the Derbyshire Nottinghamshire LEP and the Malta European Capital of Culture.
Her previous experience includes a role as Managing Director of Magna Science and Conference Centre in Rotherham and Director of Tourism South East.
Mr Hunt joins as Associate Director having worked with clients and projects including Chester Zoo, Tatton Park, the National Football Museum, and Casino Development at Birmingham NEC.
