Handelsbanken relocate Liverpool headquarters to Exchange Station
Swedish bank Handelsbanken have relocated their Liverpool headquarters to Exchange Station on a ten-year lease.
The team of 12 will now move into a 3,000 sq ft space in the building which has recently undergone a £5 million first phase of redevelopment.
Emily Armstrong, asset manager for Exchange Station, said: “We are very pleased to announce the arrival Handelsbanken to Exchange Station. We have worked closely with the bank to help find the right space to accommodate the full Liverpool team and we are delighted that Exchange Station has been able to fit their requirements perfectly.”
“Handelsbanken is a leading figure in the world of banking and we very much look forward to welcoming them as a tenant in March when they will relocate from their current office at India Buildings.
“We are also very pleased to say that all of the newly refurbished offices which surround the concourse at Exchange Station are now let or under offer, and we look forward to making further lettings announcements in the coming weeks.”
Keith Lowe, Branch Manager for Handelsbanken, added: “We are very much looking forward to relocating to Exchange Station. The office space itself is fantastic and the newly refurbished concourse is a real plus point for us as it will be a great space for us to entertain clients on a less formal basis.
“All of our employees in the Liverpool office are very much looking forward to the move which will strengthen our presence in the city and allow us to conduct even more business in 2014.”
