Charlotte's double life

With the full support of her employer County Life Homes’ Charlotte Woodcock is taking on a demanding double challenge.

By day, the Sales and Marketing Manager, who studied design at Newcastle College, will launch County Life Interiors - a personal service to help buyers complete their homes in the style of their choice.

Out of hours, she will take part in the Iron Man Triathlon in Majorca, where she will be raising money for the North Northumberland Hospice and the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation.

County Life Homes Managing Director, Mike Pattison, has complete faith in Charlotte’s capacity to succeed in both arenas. He said: “She is an incredibly determined person who never shirks a challenge. She has dressed our show homes with real flair and I think our customers will be impressed by the ideas she will bring to complete their homes in personal and striking ways.

“Once we have this venture off the ground we will be looking to provide services to a wider market – not just new home buyers.”

The fact that the company has provided Charlotte with a new bike for the 56 mile ride section of the triathlon demonstrates further confidence in the 31-year-old from Morpeth, who will also tackle a 1.2 mile swim in the sea and a 13.1 mile half marathon run.

She said: “I am not sure which is the biggest challenge. They are both exciting and scary for different reasons but it means I certainly have a big year to look forward to.”

This week triathlon training has had to go on the back burner as Charlotte attended the Interiors UK show in Birmingham to fine tune ideas.

County Life Homes, which builds exceptional homes in desirable locations, is currently developing two new sites in Corbridge.

Work is already underway on two five bedroom luxury homes at Riggsacre, off Apple Tree Lane. Built to an extremely high specification on quarter acre plots, each will have approximately 4,000 sq. ft. of floor space with traditional elevations to the front but extensive glazing at the back to offer views over the Tyne Valley.

The development of just four courtyard cottages on St. Helen’s Lane is expected to begin in April. Built in stone and render with tiled roofs, the cottages will be of a traditional design but with the inclusion of the latest fixtures and fittings.
