Prestigious new housing development underway

Work has started on 168 new homes at Wynyard Park on Teesside, marking a major milestone in the site’s on-going development.

Taylor Wimpey is building the first phase of the homes at the prestigious new development - known as Wynyard Manor - which comprises 30 properties in a range of three and four bedroom semi-detached designs priced from £229,950 and four bedroom detached homes with prices starting at £284,950.

The initial phase of build, named The Approach, is on land adjacent to the existing Wynyard Park business park which is currently home to 70 companies supporting some 2,000 jobs. The new homes are a key element of the overall Wynyard Park masterplan which sets out a vision for the creation of a mixed use community set in attractive woodland.

Matt Johnson, Wynyard Park Development Director, said: “The 700-acre business park which has attracted more than £250 million of private investment since being launched in 2005, has proved to be a high-quality, flagship development for the region.

“However, it has always been our aim to create over time a mixed use community where people can live, work, rest and play within an attractive woodland setting.

“The Wynyard Manor housing development means were are entering an exciting new phase of development which takes us a step closer to realising our longer-term ambitions.

“We are delighted to be working with a national house-building company of Taylor Wimpey’s stature and we look forward to welcoming the first residents in the not-too-distant future.”

The development site is on a part of Wynyard Park that falls within the Borough of Hartlepool, and the development is bringing vital new jobs and investment to the area.

Taylor Wimpey has revealed that the first show home is scheduled to open in the spring, with the second release of homes due to be launched later in the year.

Debbie Whittingham, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, said: “This is an extremely exciting venture for us and the new homes promise to be a great addition to the area. Early interest has been overwhelming, with a number of off-plan sales taking place since the launch.

“Our second phase features a further 138 homes which include a stunning and highly-anticipated selection of four and five bedroom detached properties, as well as two bedroom apartments and a small number of three bedroom semi-detached homes.”
