Bradford’s Safestyle UK report 12% increase in sales

Bradford-based Safestyle, retailer of PVCu windows and doors has today reported a sales increase of over 12%.

Revenue for the year was in excess of £124 million compared to the previous year (2012: £110 million).

Profits for the year are also expected to be “in line with management’s expectations.”

The company has continued to increase its market share during the year to 7.85% (2012: 7.49%)

Manufacturing increased during the year with 250,185 frames produced during the period (2012: 232,687 frames) whilst the number of installations increased by 9.4 % to 55,112 (2012: 50,357).

The statement read: “The order book at the year end was strong and order intake in the first 3 weeks of 2014 has got off to a positive start exceeding management expectations.”

The company will announce its audited results for the year ended 31 December 2013 on 31st March 2014.

Safestyle is most infamous for featuring controversial Jeff Brown in their “BOGOF” advertising.

He was given a 6 month suspended sentence in 2010 for driving on the wrong side of the road between Harrogate and Skipton.
