Flextronics reveals new facilities after £75,000 redevelopment
Warrington-based supply chain specialist, Flextronics Global Services, has officially unveiled a suite of new facilities after investing more than £75,000 in redeveloping its 90,000 sq ft site in Appleton.
The Mayor of Warrington, Cllr Peter Carey, was invited to cut the ribbon on a new Learning Centre and Customer Care Centre for the company, which employs more than 250 staff and manages supply chains for some of the world’s largest consumer lifestyle and technology companies.
Flextronics staff in Warrington and throughout the UK will use the Learning Centre to complete training and personal development courses, whilst the new Customer Care Centre has been developed with state-of-the-art equipment to support the work of a 35-strong multilingual call centre team handling thousands of enquiries from customers all over the world.
Mike Meades, General Manager at Flextronics Global Services, said: “This is a significant development for us and for the town of Warrington, helping to reinforce our position as a key location within the wider Flextronics group.
“Responding to the needs of customers is an essential part of any business and our new Customer Care Centre has been equipped with the very latest technology, enabling us to be even more efficient and responsive than ever before.
“In addition to this, our Learning Centre will be a hub for professional development and creative thinking, giving our staff in Warrington immediate access to facilities and courses that will enhance their skill sets.”
Mayor of Warrington, Cllr Peter Carey, added: “Flextronics is a real hidden gem amongst Warrington’s business community and I was hugely impressed to see and hear first hand what they do. It’s very clear to me that the site in Warrington is important to the town and to the local economy, so it was a pleasure to be invited to their site and celebrate the official opening of the new facilities.”
