New firm moves into Downing’s Port of Liverpool building

Property group Downing is enjoying a strong start to Q1, welcoming new tenant Quantum of Value to the iconic Port of Liverpool Building.

The business consultancy company, which is headquartered in London, has located its operations centre to Liverpool and is looking to expand. The company has taken on 1,000 sq ft in the Port of Liverpool building and it plans to take on eight to 10 new staff.

Quantum of Value director, Allison Bacher, said: “We’re really excited about our move to Liverpool. Our client base is spread across the UK and internationally, but we really felt compelled by the fantastic atmosphere in Liverpool and the positive, can-do attitude here, which is why we decided to open our new operations centre here.

“This is a city with an ambitious, entrepreneurial spirit, which encourages and supports business development and we’re looking forward to tapping into this as we grow our business. The Port of Liverpool is a landmark building in the heart of the city and provides the perfect base for the business.”

Quantum of Value helps its clients to achieve their strategic business goals by helping them to implement frameworks and practices which enable them to become more agile and responsive – allowing companies to make better strategic decisions and deliver long term sustainable growth.

The business joins a raft of companies which have recently taken up residence in the landmark building. Other new tenants include legal firm Forrester’s which took on a 4,250 sq ft office suite in Q4 last year and The Mediterranean Shipping Company, one of the world’s largest shipping lines, which took a 1,850 sq ft office as part of a move from the India Buildings.

Two further lettings include The Liverpool Lifestyle Lounge, recently launched by a trio of independent Herbalife distributors, which has taken on 460 sq ft. while UK trade association, Fairtrades relocated its Northern office from Prenton on the Wirral and took on a 630 sq ft. let.

Robin Ellis, senior agency surveyor at Downing, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Quantum of Value to The Port of Liverpool building. It’s encouraging to see companies of this calibre moving into the city and we’re sure this will be a positive move for the business.

“As The Port of Liverpool Building continues to attract new occupiers, we have a very limited number of Flexi-Offices to let, and some fantastic options available for businesses looking for something larger, like the 7,030 sq ft Mersey Suite, which is arguably one of the best office spaces in the city - based on the second floor with unbeatable river views.”
