Sheffield Theatres Trust announces Barclays partnership for growth
Sheffield Theatres Trust today announced a new partnership with Barclays to assist with its strategic growth plans.
The move to Barclays includes innovative new banking facilities enabling the group to plan with confidence going forward.
Sheffield Theatres Trust is the largest producing theatre complex outside of London and comprises of three inspiring and unique auditoria; the Lyceum, Crucible and Studio.
The Trust is currently celebrating its second win at The Stage Awards where it was crowned ‘Regional Theatre of the Year’ for an unprecedented second year running.
Sheffield Theatres has garnered national and international plaudits for its outstanding theatrical productions, including record breaking productions of Oliver! and Jack and The Beanstalk this Christmas.
This season, the Crucible stage will see a new dance theatre adaptation of the Yorkshire classic, Kes, the World Snooker Championship (its home since 1977), the brilliant farce, Boeing Boeing and a new play, The Sheffield Mysteries, which will be performed by Sheffield People’s Theatre under the direction of Artistic Director, Daniel Evans.

“It’s vital that this artistic success is underpinned by strong financial management and with the changes to the funding climate, we need to ensure we maximise our income from all sources.
“Barclays has provided a suite of banking products which will undoubtedly bring future improvements for our banking operations and help the company to maximise its funding in these challenging times.”
Sheffield Theatres Trust operates as a ‘not for profit’ organisation and relies heavily on donations and ticket sales for the many and varied productions it hosts throughout the year.
