The prestigious annual awards are considered the Oscars of the gambling industry. Richard Smith, former GM of Aspers Newcastle and now at the companies Stratford casino, received the highly sought after trophy on behalf of the company.
The International Gaming Awards is a charity event supported and attended by well renowned industry insiders as well as gaming clients from all tiers of the gaming world.
Last year, Aspers Casino won The Responsible Land-based Gaming Operator of the Year 2013, which recognized its work in introducing procedures and safeguards for customers.
Aspers Newcastle general manager, Steve Ducker said: “We are thrilled Aspers Casino has been recognised as a European Casino Operator. The International Gaming Awards is the biggest event of the year for the gaming industry so to have our efforts to embody best practice recognized in this way is hugely rewarding.
“We intend to build on this success in the coming months by continuing to put our customers at the heart of all we do.”
