Caffè Nero moves into Grade II listed Harrogate building creating 10 jobs

Lateral Property Group has secured a new letting for 6 Cambridge Crescent; a Grade II listed Victorian building overlooking the Cenotaph in Harrogate.

The property, acquired from Yorkshire Building Society in 2013, has been let to Caffè Nero which will open its second unit in Harrogate in April 2014 creating 10 local jobs.

The interior design will be sympathetic to the period building and Caffè Nero will trade at ground and first floors affording customers fine views of the Cenotaph.

Lateral’s Retail Development Director, Marcus Briggs sees the letting as having a positive effect on the tenant mix on Cambridge Crescent.

He says: “The introduction of Caffè Nero next to Jaeger will create a more active frontage, which will improve the linkage from Cambridge and James Street to Parliament Street where Lateral is undertaking a significant regeneration project.”

Lateral is currently on site transforming Harrogate House on Parliament Street into a destination leisure development due for completion in April 2014.
