Home makeover ‘secret’ goes nationwide
The innovative SMD Group has partnered with a leading UK distributor to support the launch of its exciting new iLiv range.
Hallis Hudson has named iLiv as its chosen fabric and wallpaper supplier and will offer the collection to its customers, including more than 7,000 trade accounts within the window furnishings industry.
The iLiv range has been described as the ‘secret formula’ for the home makeover, and clients can mix and match the iLiv wow factor across 12 collections.
Family-run Hallis Hudson believes the partnership with the SMD Group will give it a distinct advantage in the marketplace.

The iLiv ‘family’ includes the distinctive collections of Fjord for the Scandinavian look, the shimmering textures of Palladio, the artistic floral Piazza, flamboyant Adara, Charlton for sumptuous fabrics, the lustrous colours of Elements, the In Bloom floral prints and the delicate Shabby Chic. The children’s ranges are themed on pirates for boys and a treehouse for girls.
The iLiv range recently made its international debut at the Heimtextil festival in Frankfurt, the largest global trade fair for home and contract textiles.
The three newest collections are Seralio comprising bold floral print with smart Chevrons and co-ordinating small scale weaves for upholstery, curtains, cushions and bedcovers, while Decoupage offers pretty printed florals, delicate embroidered butterflies, teamed with fine country stripes and polka dots.
The Aquitane collection, inspired by the elegant and classical styling of regions in France, comprises Toile style floral prints, luxurious jacquards, classic cotton stripes, a woven trellis and a co-ordinating diamond, satin effect plain.
The bespoke service also gives the opportunity of creating distinctive designs with the help of the iLiv team and can be adapted by colour, fabric and design for all home furnishings including upholstery, curtains, bed linen, cushions, rugs, wall art and wallpaper. Fully co-ordinated pattern books with wall coverings are also available.
