The Pensions Trust Retains Gold Standard for Investing in People
The Pensions Trust, one of the leading workplace pension schemes in the UK for the third sector, today announced it has retained its prestigious Investors in People Gold Standard, following its recent reassessment. The Gold Standard acknowledges the Trust’s achievement of world-class best practice and demonstrates that it is operating at the very highest levels of people management practice.
The Pensions Trust is part of the 7 per cent of Investors in People organisations in the country that have achieved Gold accreditation, having first achieved the award in 2009.
The Trust maintained its Gold Standard for continuous improvement in a number of areas, notably its change of strategic direction in acknowledgement to the changing business landscape, its improvement of communications across the business, as well as increasingly positive employee testimony on its policies and practice in support of employee learning and career development.
Investors in People was originally launched in 1991 to help UK organisations and their employees make the most of their abilities. Two decades later it is a trusted advisor on people management, providing valuable insight and best practice to organisations looking to improve performance.
Chris Jones, Head of Operations at Investors in People North of England said:
“This is a fantastic achievement for The Pensions Trust and I would like to congratulate the team on their commitment to people development and continuous improvement. We believe that great people make a good business and as a proven organisational development framework, Investors in People is designed to help organisations and their people to realise potential, enhance performance and meet goals. By achieving Gold accreditation, The Pensions Trust is certainly working to do this.”
Stephen Nichols, Chief Executive of The Pensions Trust, said:
“We are delighted to maintain our prestigious Investors in People Gold Standard. The award is a fantastic achievement for the Trust, especially as we train our employees to exceed our customers’ expectations by anticipating their needs and proactively providing solutions, enabling us to drive the business forward, and generate a culture where exceptional results are not only possible but actually happen.”
