Harrow renews golf partnership at Tyneside
Newcastle-based chartered surveyors, Harrow Consulting LLP has renewed its sponsorship of Tyneside Golf Club for 2014.
It’s the fourth successive year the chartered building surveyors and architectural designers has given its support, which will see Harrow’s flag continue to fly above the club, based in Ryton Village.
Alastair Greenfield, club manager for Tyneside Golf Club, said: “It’s no secret that all sports and recreation venues are having to find ways to maximize their worth. We’re thrilled that Harrow will be supporting us through 2014 by renewing their main sponsorship.
“Attracting long term corporate partners to this extent is a tricky task for all golf courses, so we’re especially pleased to hear the partnership with Harrow continues to be a successful one for them too.”
The investment has allowed the club, 135 years old this year, to continue its overall improvement programme, which includes upgrades to all elements both on and off the course, perched on the southern banks of the Tyne Valley.
Graeme Harker, partner at Harrow Consulting said: “The club have always given us and our associates an extremely warm welcome and we’re proud to partner with what we consider one of the greatest old courses in the North East.
“The sponsorship allows us freedom to pursue a well-planed programme of corporate activity throughout the year, both on and off the golf course. Tyneside has also been the perfect hosts for our annual St Oswald’s Hospice ‘Business Bowler’ charity day.”
That competition, where all entrants don bowler hats for the day, is now in its third year and has raised more than £10,000 for the Gosforth Hospice, with its last, in September 2013, raising more than £4,000 alone.
Harrow Consulting, formed by Nick Rowling and Graeme Harker in 2010, recently expanded its operations into a new base in Central Newcastle and counts the likes of Darlington College, Home Group, Sunderland Royal Hospital and Four Seasons Healthcare as clients.
