Leeds Rhinos captain Kevin Sinfield becomes ambassador to insurance broker sponsors

Henderson Insurance Brokers has announced the signing of the Leeds Rhinos and England Rugby League Captain Kevin Sinfield to an ambassadorial role.

In addition to the ambassadorial agreement with Kevin, the Henderson Group has agreed an enhanced corporate sponsorship arrangement with the Leeds Rhinos for the 2014 season.

This includes an advertising board on the Carnegie stand at the Headingley stadium, and for every successful penalty goal or conversion by Kevin, Henderson will feature on the scoreboard.

Henderson Insurance Brokers will also be the official match sponsor when the Rhinos face the Huddersfield Giants on June 12.

The most decorated captain in Leeds Rhino’s history, Kevin Sinfield has signed on the dotted line at Henderson, where he will attend various corporate events, as well as learning and understanding the organisation and its various divisions.

Kevin, 33, has steered his only professional club into 17 major finals in ten years. He has spent his entire career with Leeds amassing more than 450 appearances and leading his side to six Super League titles and three World Club Challenges.

The half back is the Rhinos’ leading point’s scorer in the club’s history and captained England to the semi-finals of last year’s Rugby League World Cup.

Kevin said: “I am delighted to be joining Hendersons in this capacity and I would like to thank the company for this opportunity.

“Having spent my whole career in sporting circles, this gives me a valuable opportunity to experience a totally different environment with an organisation that is strongly connected with Leeds Rhino’s.

“I look forward to representing Henderson at various events and having the opportunity to work with the team.”

Paul Judge, Managing Director of Henderson Insurance Brokers in Leeds, said: “I am absolutely delighted. Kevin’s professionalism, dedication and manner are second to none, which all of our employees can learn from, making him a great asset to Henderson Insurance Brokers.

“The fact that Kevin is committed to learning our business is a testament to his professionalism which speaks for itself with his accomplishments throughout his career.

“I would like to welcome ‘Sir Kev’ into his role with Henderson and wish him all the best with his playing career.”
