Six multi-million pound deals for Blacks Solicitors
Following six major, multimillion-pound deals, the Corporate & Commercial team at Leeds-based law firm, Blacks Solicitors will be looking at double-digit growth in 2014.
At the end of 2013 the department completed a number of deals; two substantial commercial contracts, two financing deals and two share disposals.
Acting on behalf of regional companies, including Harrogate Spring Water and leading Sheffield-based rock band, Bring Me The Horizon amongst others, Blacks’ Corporate & Commercial team reported a 50% increase in turnover in the last financial quarter (October-December 2013) compared to the first (January-March 2013).
The deals, which have resulted in an overall departmental turnover increase of 30% on 2012, provide the foundation for Blacks’ ambitious plans for further double digit growth in 2014.
Commenting on the results, Nigel Hoyle, Partner in Company & Commercial at Blacks Solicitors said, “Our performance last year puts us in good stead to replicate this throughout 2014.
“Blacks have solid foundations in Yorkshire and our growing reputation means that more organizations are turning to us for advice.
“Some of the deals, especially Sheffield-based rock band, Bring Me The Horizon, have required specialist knowledge and we’re pleased that we can offer the Music Law expertise required in the region.
“We’ve grown turnover organically in 2013, and we hope to continue to prosper throughout 2014.”
