New recruit will help County Life build for the future.
With expansion planned, County Life Homes is building a bigger team to supply an improving housing market.
The latest addition is 23-year-old Jamie Maughan from Heaton, who has been earmarked as a future site manager by the Northumberland based business.
A fully qualified joiner, Jamie has started his training with instruction at college complementing the practical experience gained by working alongside an award winning team.
He will be putting his joinery skills to use at the company’s Riggsacre development in Corbridge where construction of two luxury £1million plus homes is well underway and expected to be complete towards the end of this year.
Said Jamie: “It is a great to be given the opportunity to work for and learn from a company that delivers such a high quality product.”
Jamie served his time with Rok but when it closed in 2010 - just two months after he finished his apprenticeship – he was made redundant and started doing agency work. It was through this that his capabilities became known to County Life Homes.
Mike Pattison, Managing Director at County Life Homes, said: “Jamie is a fantastic addition to our growing team and we are sure he will be a great asset to the company as new developments come on stream.”
County Life is expecting to start work on another new Corbridge scheme in the spring. The development of four courtyard cottages, just off St Helen’s Lane, will be constructed in stone and render and will be of a traditional design but inclusive of the latest fixtures and fittings.
