Barratt Homes North East strengthens sales team
BARRATT Homes North East has strengthened its sales team to meet continuing demand for new homes across the region.
Steven Ball has been appointed as a Sales Manager at the Newcastle-based housebuilder, which is set to start work on four new sites over the next six months.
Steven, 31, who has nine years’ management experience in estate agency, lives in Ingleby Barwick, Stockton, with his wife and three children.
He said: “I’m looking forward to the challenge of moving into the new homes sector and can’t think of a better company to be joining.
“It is very important to me to be part of a successful company that has ambitious growth plans for the future.
“I can see the housing market improving steadily in the near future and it is a great time to be joining Barratt Homes, where there is already a strong and growing demand for a quality product.
“There is a fantastic development path for me to follow and I look forward to a long career with the company!”
Sales Director Fenton Hewitt said: “Steven brings valuable experience at a senior level to the sales team.
“We’re steadily strengthening our business and are looking for individuals who have excellent people skills. In return for their hard work and determination we can promise them a rewarding career in an exciting and challenging industry.
“There is strong demand for new homes and our sites are selling through very quickly, with increased take-up of the Government’s Help to Buy shared equity loan scheme.”
The company is selling new homes through its Barratt and David Wilson brands on 21 developments in the region, and recently announced it will start work on four additional sites in the next six months.
Nationally, the Barratt Group intends to recruit around 600 graduates and apprentices over the next three years, to help tackle the skills shortage that could constrain future growth prospects of the industry.
