Sanderson Weatherall expands its BREEAM services

Chartered surveyors Sanderson Weatherall are expanding the range of services it provides to help clients achieve the highest environmental standards.

BREEAM – the Building Research Establishment’s Environmental Assessment Method – is the world’s leading environmental assessment method and rating system for new build and refurbishments.

Having achieved Licensed Assessor Company status, the firm now offers assessments for all commercial and public and bespoke buildings, as well as a project team facilitation service, aimed at guiding the definition, monitoring and achievement of the desired BREEAM rating for any project.

Strong BREEAM ratings can be hugely important to the success of a property.

Sanderson Weatherall provided expert advice on achieving the highest environmental standards for Gateway West, at Newburn, and this nears full occupancy.

Gateway West was constructed to BREEAM Excellent standards and now only part of the ground floor in Newburn House remains to be filled.

Prior to the development starting, the land owner had specified BREEAM Excellent as a must-have for the developers. Sanderson Weatherall advised on how this could be achieved. As joint lettings agent with GVA, the firm has helped fill the vast majority of office and industrial space on the site.
