Award hopes for Northumberland biomass specialists
A Northumberland-based biomass installer has been shortlisted for a national industry award.
The Wood Heating Company has been revealed as one of the companies in the running to win the Rural Heating of the Year category at the H&V News Awards 2014.
Simon Cross, commercial director at The Wood Heating Company, said: “It is brilliant news that The Wood Heating Company has been shortlisted for such a prestigious award.
“As a company, we have over 30 years’ experience in installing biomass boilers. To have our work acknowledged by industry peers is testament to the hard work and skills of all those at The Wood Heating Company.”
The awards, hosted by the publication Heating & Ventilation News (H&V News), aims to recognise outstanding suppliers, companies and contractors in the building services industry.
According to Dennis Flower, editor of Heating & Ventilation News, there have been more entries into the awards this year than ever before, with the judges having a tough time narrowing entries down to the shortlist.
The next round of judging will take place on 7 March when The Wood Heating Company will be required to give a presentation to the judging panel. The winners will then be announced during an awards ceremony on24 April at the Grosvenor Hotel, London.
