Worldwide Recruitment Solutions, a recruitment company specialising in talent acquisition across the Oil & Gas, Mining, Marine and Power sectors globally, were listed as the UK’s 18th best small company to work for at the prestigious Sunday Times 100 Best Small Companies to Work For 2014 awards ceremony on Wednesday 26th February. WRS were also awarded a three star rating (the maximum available) for their “extraordinary” employee engagement, care and staff satisfaction.
A total of 897 businesses registered to take part in the Sunday Times’ four surveys; the leading 325 were recognised in four lists: “100 Best Companies to Work For;” “100 Best Small Companies to Work For;” “25 Best Big Companies to Work For” and “100 Best Not-for-Profit Organisations to Work For.” Employees were engaged in a rigorous survey which ascertained their satisfaction across a number of factors deemed to contribute to a great workplace.
The Best Companies award is the definitive marker of workplace engagement, employee opinion and satisfaction across the UK. Managing Director Mark Brown commented, “I am absolutely thrilled for WRS to be listed as the UK’s 18th best small company. As a final accolade to our phenomenal success throughout 2013, this is a fantastic start to 2014, which is already looking set to be another great year for the company. Our employees make WRS what it is; their job satisfaction is of the utmost importance to us and I and the other managers have been overwhelmed by the positive feedback we’ve received. The hard work and passion of everyone on the team shines through in the fantastic work they have done, particularly over the last year. We are constantly refining our strategy, investing in our staff and developing our strong company culture; it’s fantastic to know that this has paid off.”
Worldwide Recruitment Solutions have experienced rapid growth since inception in 2008 and have celebrated a number of milestones in that time. In December 2013, WRS ranked as the UK’s 8th fastest growing company in The Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track Top 100; a testament to their exceptional organic growth. WRS credit their success to the unrelenting dedication of their industry experts. WRS now employ over 60 people at their head office in Altrincham, Cheshire, and will be recruiting internally throughout the year in line with their growth strategy.
Francis Dunleavy – co-founder and Operations Director - said, “This is an exciting time for WRS. We’ve proven that we can find the very best talent in the niche markets we operate within, and what’s more we’ve now shown that commercial success can and does go hand in hand with the initiatives we’ve put in place to develop and reward our staff. We listen to our employees’ needs and our meritocratic workplace culture continues to pay off. The competition in this year’s awards was very tough, and I’d like to extend congratulations to all of the organisations in the top 100.”
