Warrington to host global nuclear business forum
The world’s nuclear industry experts will converge on Warrington for Nuclear UK, a major event in the International Festival for Business (IFB) 2014 calendar.
The IFB is the largest global concentration of business events during 2014, running across seven weeks in June and July and attracting business delegates and trade intermediaries from around the globe.
Set to be one of the IFB’s foremost events, Nuclear UK is a strategic leadership forum aiming to promote ideas and innovations to drive development within the nuclear industry. Warrington can lay clain to being the birthplace of the UK’s nuclear industry, and is currently the location of world-class nuclear engineering, research, training and project delivery expertise.
Steve Park, managing director of Warrington and Co., the town’s partnership for economic growth, said: “That the nuclear sector has chosen to stage this prestigious event in Warrington underlines the town’s significance within the international nuclear community.
“The UK’s position at the forefront of a global nuclear renaissance is underpinned by our heritage, experience and knowledge of the nuclear industry, built over decades right here in Warrington.”
Nuclear UK will be held at the Park Royal Hotel in Stretton on June 25 and confirmed keynote speakers include respected and experienced nuclear experts:

“That’s why Britain’s Energy Coast as a supporter of businesses and flag-waver for West Cumbria is proud to be involved Nuclear UK – the regional and national showcase for nuclear within the International Festival of Business.”
