Wheel success for Newcastle husband and wife team
Newcastle-based husband and wife team John and Lynda Welsh have scooped two national awards for their franchise business at The Wheel Specialist’s annual conference.
The brand, which specialises in alloy wheel refurbishment and customisation, has UK-wide coverage from its 21 branches. John and Lynda won the Highest Sales and the Overall Best Performing Franchise awards at the conference in the Midlands in February.
Ginny Murphy, MD of The Wheel Specialist UK, paid glowing tribute to the couple with regards to their performance award: “This was a very difficult decision to make; we judged the allocation of this award on a number of vital areas for success.
“John and Lynda have shown a consistent dedication to growing their business and the network as a whole. They are a real credit to The Wheel Specialist, providing knowledge and support to others.
“They have worked together to overcome any challenges over the past year, and have come out stronger than ever. With outstanding customer service and superb refurbishments it is no wonder that they have achieved significant growth year after year.”
John and Lynda said they were thrilled to win both awards, and will be proudly displaying them in their showroom, close to the Metro Centre, for all to see.
Technical director Neill Murphy added: “It is a great achievement to win the award for Highest Sales; this takes constant commitment and hard work, and a strong team.
“Always striving to achieve, and never afraid to try something new, has helped the team at the Newcastle branch to gain everything they need to become the sales leader. A combination of hard work, long hours and always going the extra mile for their customers has allowed the team to take the top spot.”
