Sandria helps Sodexo put on a show
A LEADING catering and events company has strengthened its team with a new appointment.
Sodexo Prestige, which manages conference and banqueting facilities for Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums, has appointed Sandria Charalambous as senior events co-ordinator.
The 26-year-old will be tasked with promoting venues such as Newcastle’s Discovery Museum, Laing Art Gallery and Great North Museum: Hancock to corporate clients and event organisers looking for a unique venue.
“We’re so lucky here in the North East to have such inspirational museums,” said Newcastle-based Sandria, originally from Cyprus.
“As well as being great tourist attractions The Laing, Discovery Museum and the Great North Museum:Hancock are also spectacular venues for all manner of events, such as weddings, conferences and parties,” she added.
“What makes them really special is that each is totally unique and Sodexo’s catering team is expert at working with clients – be they brides-to-be or event organisers – to ensure their event not only meets, but exceeds, their expectations.”
Sandria joins Sodexo from the jewellery retail sector in which she worked after gaining a Masters degree in Event and Conference Management from Northumbria University.
“She is joining a successful and highly motivated sales team and I’m sure her enthusiasm and experience will be a great asset to us,” said Samantha Doyle, area sales manager at Sodexo Prestige.
