Cabfind.com keeps the country moving during the recent extreme weather
North West based Cabfind.com has seen a 120 per cent uplift in business for its managed ground transport logistics services as extreme weather has brought chaos to the country’s transport network.
The business, which is headquartered in Birkenhead, has been helping to keep the country moving by working closely with train companies who have been hit by extreme weather.
Over the past few weeks alone, Cabfind.com has handled more than 36,000 calls, managed more than 21,000 bookings and moved approximately 30,000 passengers.
Established in 2005, Cabfind.com pioneered the first generation of dynamic taxi booking systems. Now UK market leaders, it specialises in nationwide ground transportation services, and manages organisations’ private hire transport needs with a virtual fleet of over 120,000 vehicles.
Focusing on the business-to-business sector, Cabfind.com provides an organisation with a single point of contact to book all of their ground transport requirements throughout the UK. These clients include Virgin Trains; National Express; Ministry of Justice; Thomson; and Travelodge.
Chris Jordan, managing director of Cabfind.com, said: “Private Hire Taxis are a very flexible alternative for organisations, like train companies, who have an emergency need to move people around the country as they are the most cost effective solution.
“We are the preferred supplier for many clients in the rail sector as we operate with a network of approved providers of private hire vehicles allowing us a reach of 120,000 vehicles in the UK alone, meaning we can manage large movements of people in one single billing point.”
Tim Jordan, operations director of Cabfind.com, added: “Demand has been notably strong for journeys to the South West and Scotland and we are geared up for further demand as the extreme weather continues.”
Cabfind.com is recognised for innovative and effective service delivery, underpinned by a business model that is proven to deliver significant cost savings for clients – with plans to further expand the platform into Europe and America.
