Smith Partnership to achieve more growth with Advanced Legal’s ALB

Smith Partnership, one of the largest law firms in the East Midlands has signed a three year contract with leading software provider, Advanced Legal (Advanced) to implement ALB, its flagship practice and case management system (PCMS).

Smith Partnership employs 250 staff, including 29 partners, across eight offices in Derby, Leicester, Stoke, Burton-upon-Trent and Swadlincote. The firm provides a full range of legal services with a particular focus on commercial work.

The firm will migrate all eight offices, and three different PCMS systems from competing vendors onto Advanced’s integrated system during 2014.

A key driver for migrating to ALB was the need to remove unnecessary risk by reducing the number of complicated management processes stemming from having multiple PCMS systems. The amalgamation of these disparate systems will provide solicitors with clear visibility of business activity, enabling them to manage workload more effectively.

Part of the system includes an intuitive workflow capability. Smith Partnership’s team of case developers, were impressed by the sophistication and ease of use of Advanced Legal’s workflow solution.
