Leeds law firm wins hat-trick of awards

Following a string of prestigious award wins for Leeds-based law firm Blacks Solicitors LLP, the firm’s conveyancing arm, Blacks Connect has been awarded ‘Best Conveyancing Service – Individual Firm’ at this year’s Mortgage Strategy Awards 2014.

The National award, which is now in its 12th year, celebrates the intermediary mortgage market’s triumphs and successes and is the definitive benchmark by which the industry measures itself.

Initial voting was carried out by clients, followed by a panel of 28 top-level industry professionals who named Blacks the winner above five other legal firms.

Having entered the mortgage intermediary market just 18 months ago, this is a noticeable achievement for Blacks. Blacks Connect was recognised as being forward- thinking and for offering a full legal service to its mortgage introducers, something which is rare within the industry.

This is the third win in a string of successes for the firm. In October last year, Luke Patel, Partner in the firm’s Commercial Disputes Resolution department was named ‘Best Professional in Business’ at the annual English Asian Business Awards.

Following this, Blacks was awarded ‘Best Law Firm’ (11-30 partners) and the highly regarded Yorkshire Lawyer Awards.

Commenting on the firm’s latest award win, senior partner at Blacks Connect, David Gilman said, “We’d like to thank our clients and of course the judging panel for recognising the work we do within this ever-changing industry.

“The award istestament to the hard work and dedication of the team and I’m incredibly proud of this achievement.”
