Solo move leads agent back to the future

A change of direction for commercial property expert David Jackson had led him full circle back to one of his all-time favourite developments.

And he couldn’t be more delighted to have Lingfield Point, Darlington, and all it offers - back in his portfolio.

Mr Jackson, started his own firm Jackson & Partners after working for North East company Sanderson Weatherall for many years.

Along with his former employers he’s now been appointed co-agent for award-winning Lingfield Point which is set to become the largest mixed-use sustainable development in Europe.

He said: “Some people may think that all commercial property is pretty much the same but that could not be further from the truth when it comes to Lingfield Point.

“There is a surprise around every corner whether it’s a quirky piece of art work, a yarn-bombed tree or a keep fit boot camp going on.

“Of course, the office space itself, is the biggest surprise. Each area has its own identity, themed on the site’s previous life as a wool factory. Design and end use clearly inform every stage of development.

“The 70,000 sq ft Memphis Building occupied by the Student Loans Company won the British Council for Offices (BCO) National Award for Best Recycled Workplace in 2009 and recently picked up its Test of Time Award too.

“It really is a dream to represent and I’m looking forward to showing people around once again and seeing their reactions to the unique work spaces.”

Eddie Humphries, estate manager, said: “It is great to see David out and about and part of Lingfield life again . He knows so much about us and understands our ethos absolutely.

“As far as Darlington is concerned he has a wealth of knowledge and experience that’s second to none. It’s great that he’s going solo and we wish him all the luck in the world with his new venture.”
