Matfen woos bridal couples with fizz, frocks and fireworks
COUPLES looking to tie the knot can enjoy an evening of fizz, frocks and fireworks at one of the North East’s best loved hotels.
On Thursday (20 March) Matfen Hall, near Hexham, is hosting a free Wedding Evening aimed at showcasing the venue and helping brides-to-be plan every detail of their perfect day.
Weddings at four star Matfen Hall are given exclusive use of the East Wing, which has its own private entrance, with ceremonies and civil partnerships held in the historic Great Hall.
Not only will visitors to the Wedding Evening be able to view the East Wing dressed as if for a wedding, but they will be given a glass of bubbly on arrival before models take to the catwalk in gowns from Stocksfield-based bridal shop Rosina Brown.
Brides-to-be will also be able to meet some of the region’s top photographers, stationers, make-up consultants and entertainers.
In addition, choreographers from Newcastle-based Freelance Dance will be on hand to advise couples keen to wow their guests when they take to the dance floor on their big day.The evening will then draw to a close with a spectacular firework display within the hotel’s 300 acres of grounds.
All suppliers attending the Wedding Evening will be available to chat to informally on the night, but pre-booked consultations are available by contacting the hotel’s wedding coordinator in advance on 01661 855709 or at Victoria.paterson@matfenhall.com .
The Wedding Evening will begin at 6pm and end at around 9pm, following the firework display. Further information can be obtained at www.matfenhall.com.
