Inaugural Masterclass kicks-off events programme for supply chain growth
SME operations directors, supply chain managers and business owners in the automotive, aerospace and rail engineering sectors are the first to benefit from the extensive programme of events run by new organisation Enscite.
The inaugural Enscite Supply Chain Masterclass takes place on Wednesday 26th March at the iPro Stadium at Derby’s Pride Park.
Enscite is the new organisation committed to improving the performance of supply chain companies in the transport engineering sector, and its events programme, including its flagship Masterclasses, will play a key role in helping SMEs to boost their growth prospects.
“The Masterclass workshop will help SMEs evaluate how state-of-the-art supply chain management practices can be developed and implemented in their business,” explains Enscite’s Managing Director Colin McKinnon.
“Delivered by leading supply chain experts with years of experience in their fields, the Masterclass programme is designed to help SMEs understand the challenges facing both the sectors they are working in and their business. Through practical advice and hands-on support the workshops will explore how SMEs can overcome their own company-specific barriers to growth and improve revenue and profit.
“Our first Masterclass will focus on implementing best practice supply chain management techniques, but it will also weave in aspects of our other core themes – technology, diversification and workforce development.
“SMEs attending on the 26th March will work through real-world case studies and will come away with some practical recommendations and tools to implement in their business.,Enscite will also work with companies attending to help support the implementation of the new techniques.” he adds.
Enscite is developing a series of sector-specific events with key partners and OEMs as its programme develops. These will be aimed at providing intelligence on sector specific opportunities for companies whether or not they are already supplying into that sector. As Colin notes: “We are as keen to help existing companies expand their current sector opportunities as we are to help companies break into new markets. “
Enscite has its official launch in Derby on the 10th April. It is supported by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Regional Growth Fund and is a collaborative joint venture between Derby City Council, The University of Derby, Aston University, and Cranfield University.
