Online retailer nominated for Northern Tech Award
Corban Direct, based in Chester, has been nominated for the GP Bullhound Northern Tech Awards Rising Star Category. Corban Direct, an e-commerce retailer in the home and garden market, is private equity-backed by ex Tesco CEO Sir Terry Leahy and the William Currie Group (early stage backers of ASOS and investors in thehut.com, MetaPack, Atterley Road and others).
Corban Direct achieved seven-figure sales in their first year and are now set to continue the growth of their product catalogue from their Chester head office.
The Northern Tech Awards recognises the top 20 Rising Stars in the North, as well as the 50 fastest growing tech companies. It’s organised and run by top international investment bankers GP Bullhound.
Other award categories include Fastest Growing Company of the Year, Unique Leadership Award, Most Innovative Company and the Overall Judges’ Award. Winners will get the opportunity to network with tech industry professionals.

This is a very exciting time for all involved at Corban Direct.”
