Sweet deal for Reds as Manchester United sign with EuroFood

Manchester United has confirmed a sponsorship arrangement with leading Thai company European Food Public Company Ltd (EuroFood).

The company is to become the club’s Official Confectionery Partner in five countries across Southeast Asia: Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam.

The three-and-a-half year sponsorship will see the United crest and Club imagery displayed on EuroFood products. The newly-branded products will be available to consumers across the five markets from April.

EuroFood was founded in Thailand in 1984 and has grown into a market leader in the confectionery industry, now operating in 12 countries across the globe. The company offers a wide range of confectionery products including ‘Choco Pie’, ‘Gussen Wafer’ and ‘Peking Wafer’.

Manchester United’s Group Managing Director, Richard Arnold, said: “We are delighted to welcome EuroFood as an Official Confectionery Partner to Manchester United.

“We have been impressed with EuroFood’s ambitious approach to dominating the confectionery industry and expanding their operation into new markets across Southeast Asia.

“Manchester United has over 55 million passionate followers in these five countries and we look forward to further engaging with these fans through this partnership.”

EuroFood’s President, Mr Somchai Wachakorn, said: “EuroFood is committed to delivering happiness to our customers through our delicious products, as witnessed by our ‘smile of quality’ corporate logo.

“EuroFood and Manchester United share a common goal, which is to achieve greatness, and we look forward to a successful long-term partnership that can generate meaningful interactions with the EuroFood brand.”

In addition to launching Manchester United branded products to kick-start the partnership, EuroFood will seek to engage consumers with marketing campaigns across the five Southeast Asian markets.
