Reset, Terry Hodgkinson

Reset Certification Scheme Ltd (“Reset”) the competence management solutions provider have announced the appointment of Terry Hodgkinson as a non-executive director.

Terry is best known for the many successful years he spent as chairman of the Regional Development Agency “Yorkshire Forward”, for which he was awarded Commander of the British Empire (CBE) in 2010 for services to business and regeneration.

Winterhill Largo, Rachael Davey

Asset valuation and recovery group, Winterhill Largo, has expanded its risk management business, Winterhill Risk, with the appointment of Rachael Davey as investigations manager.

Based in Wakefield, Winterhill Risk provides commercial, banking and insurance investigation services as well as risk management and asset recovery. The business was launched in May last year and has since grown to a team of four.

Mark Smith said: “Risk management is an integral part of any organisation across all sectors. The demand for our services is increasing significantly and we need an experienced team who are able to deal with the complex nature of the investigative requirements.”

Henderson Insurance Brokers, Sam Outing and Kelly Bristow

Two new members of staff have joined the Hessle branch of Henderson Insurance Brokers.

The specialist business broker says the appointments represent the company’s commitment to providing a superior service to clients.

Sam Outing, commercial claims handler, and Kelly Bristow, commercial broker, have joined the office which celebrated reaching its target of placing £10 million in premiums last month and is the region’s largest independent business insurance broker.

Berwins, James Marting and Hannah Butterworth

Harrogate law firm Berwins has expanded its commercial team with the appointment of James Martin, who joins as associate director, and solicitor Hannah Butterworth.

James is a former partner of Harrogate law firm McCormicks and has also worked previously as a commercial litigator for Addleshaw Goddard, Halliwells LLP and Towers Legal.

Hannah graduated in Forensic Science and has worked as a civilian detective as well as previously running her own training and property businesses.

Hannah said: “I also have a keen interest in Intellectual Property and IT, and am therefore delighted to have an opportunity to work alongside Paul Berwin, who is a recognised expert in this field.”

Paul Berwin said: “As a firm we have always had a strong commercial and digital offering alongside our private client work and I am delighted that we have managed to attract two experienced and committed lawyers to strengthen our business team.”

Wrigleys Solicitors, Peter Parker, Jessica Cumming, Andrew Marshall, Emma Ridge and Francess Bell

Wrigleys Solicitors welcomes four senior lawyers and their first apprentice.

Peter Parker and Jessica Cumming join the Wrigleys Charity and Social Economy team from DLA Piper and Walker Morris respectively to advise on charity transactions and contracts, academy schools and raising social finance. Peter said “It is exciting to join Wrigleys Solicitors, a name synonymous in Yorkshire for charity and third sector work”.

Wrigleys also welcomes Andrew Marshall and Emma Ridge from Addleshaw Goddard to advise the firm’s clients on academy schools, commercial property, rural property and agricultural.

Wrigleys also welcome Francess Bell, an apprentice business and facilities Administrator. Turley, John Brooks

John Brooks has been promoted to the role of office director at planning consultancy Turley in Leeds.

Rob Lucas, chief executive, Turley, said: “John is a great addition to the company’s leadership with sound experience in the regions we serve from Leeds. I will enjoy working with him.”

Bob May said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my four years in Leeds and now look forward to a new role combining client and corporate work out of Manchester.”
