A taste of Texas on the menu this Easter at Castle Eden
The authentic taste of America’s wild-west will be on the menu this Easter in the grounds of the Castle at Castle Eden as one of the most popular outdoor food events in the region gets underway.
The Big Family BBQ will see the very best in real food from the mighty ‘Lone Star’ American state served up by the Longhorns Barbecue Smokehouse over the long bank holiday week-end (19 – 21 April).
Texas brisket, pulled pork, beef and pork ribs, sausage and chicken will be among the tasty treats on offer - all smoked low and slow cooked over oak for over 20 hours and finished off until tender on the renowned salt lick outdoor smoke pit – the only one in the North East.
The family BBQ runs every day from Saturday to Easter Monday from 12 noon onwards and promises to be a treat for all the family. Children will not only get the chance to eat like a Texan but dress like one too as fancy dress is welcome.
“Our BBQ offers the chance for people to share some great food and outdoor fun at an amazing venue.”
“Longhorns Barbecue Smokehouse uses smokers imported from the US and authentic sauces to perfect the legendary smokehouse style. The company’s philosophy is to use best quality ingredients, in season, supplied from local producers. We’ve had a great deal of interest in the event and we’re looking forward to bringing the taste of Texas to North East.”
Menu and prices are available on our website and free parking will be available on the day. Booking is advisable via the website or call 0191 645 9944 to reserve a table.
