A County Durham specialist repair and maintenance business has invested in state-of-the-art technology to save time, money and paper and to provide clients with a faster service.

The app has been designed specifically for Stone by Newton Aycliffe-based web experts, Design 365, and integrates all aspects of the company and all the various divisions. To allow for extensive input from STS’s various divisions and technical experts.
MD of STS, Dave Stone, said: “Becoming a paperless operation is really difficult in our sector as there are so many safety aspects we have to consider and legalities to comply with. However, we are trying to be greener and the app will result in a massive drop in the amount of paper we use. It will also help us to streamline our operations and speed up services for our clients as we now believe we can offer the most efficient and effective service in our industry providing peace of mind as any damage to buildings can be rectified quickly thanks to speedier processes- we’re sure no one else in the sector is operating quite like this as yet.”
Alan Foster, MD of Design 365, added: “We’ve been trialing STS’s app for many months to ensure that it was exactly right and responded to their industry specific needs. It’s a great example of a traditional business using brand new technology to improve business efficiency both in-house- for staff and externally- for clients.”
